Grandpa's Funeral
A few years ago I had the opportunity to photography my grandmother's funeral. It was a rewarding experience because it allowed me to capture a small portion of the events so that family out of the area could have a small glimpse of the events and be able to be connected even though they were unable to attend. This last fall my grandfather passed away and I again found myself photographing during the viewing and the burial. My grandfather served in the Army during World War II and was buried with military honors. This was a moving experience for me as I have long respected those who serve our country and defend our freedoms. To all those who wear or have worn the uniform with honor I salute you and thank you.

Fireworks
Fireworks have always amazed me. As a small child it was the lights and the loud noises. Now it is still the lights and noises but coupled with amazement of how fireworks are made and the artistic beauty that happens when a firework is lit. Like snowflakes, no two fireworks are ever the same which makes each firework something to be treasured.

Shaun
My little brother wanted me to get a few pictures for his last minute graduation announcements. I took the opportunity to do a little bit of a story shoot about him and his bike. This kid lives for biking and was all for the idea. I'll try to get some shots of him biking in the near future and put them on here. (I put one in from late night shooting of him biking more to follow! Probably. . .)
